RCQ Associates was approached to support a top 3 Credit Rating Agency find Director level candidates, in addition to 2 Associate level hires, for a new division.
The senior commercial roles were considered high priority recruits to be brought in to lead a recently launched ESG (Environmental, Sustainability and Governance) arm to support core departments.
RCQ has been a top supplier for the agency since 2018, having successfully placed 35 candidates across a range of roles.
Our expertise was requested to fill roles, based in London, Madrid and Stockholm, across the Product, Sales and Marketing departments.
Denys Maksymenko - our ESG specialist - Ed James – RCQ’s Founding Director - and Greg McGinnigle – Associate Director and North American Lead - were able to provide comprehensive advice to the organisation.
ESG has been an area of monumental growth in recent years and the new department was an opportunity for the organisation to reflect on how EGS strategy could be implemented into existing policies.
Sourcing the Right Candidates
Shortlists for the following roles were sent across to the company within a week of RCQ learning about the vacancies:
Upon receiving our shortlists, the Agency decided to open an additional Senior Commercial role who would oversee the coordination of the departments, under the title of ESG Relationship Manager / Director.
Regular catch ups with the organisation saw conversations emphasising a need for candidates who had both strong technical skills and would, culturally, be a good team fit.
Overcoming the Challenges
The interview process for the Marketing role moved quickly and we were asked to find a knowledgeable Director, with prior ESG experience, on a one month notice period. Incredibly, RCQ was able to source the perfect candidate from our network of ESG experts, following some negotiations on the location of the role.
